A 30-year veteran of the food industry, Elizabeth has served as Managing Editor of publications including Eleven and Food Business magazines, The Practical Vegetarian Newsletter, and Food Processing magazine. Based in Evanston, Illinois, she has written and edited for both consumer and business publications covering food, nutrition and consumer issues, including Chicago Tribune, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Retail Leader and Spirit of Women magazine.

Josh Schonwald
Noted journalist and food innovation expert

Josh Schonwald is a Chicago-based, award-winning journalist and the author of The Taste of Tomorrow: Dispatches from the Future of Food. He was also one of the first three people to taste a hamburger made from lab-grown beef. Josh’s work has appeared in more than 20 publications, including The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.

Winifred Bird is a freelance journalist and Japanese-to-English translator focusing on the environment and architecture. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, she has written for publications including Environmental Health Perspectives, Dwell and Yale e360.

Mogens Bisgaard

Mogens Bisgaard is a freelance science journalist and food writer based in Copenhagen, Denmark. He is a specialist in sustainability and food policy, with articles appearing in Danish trade magazines and university newsletters, and a member of the board of Slow Food Copenhagen-North Zealand.

Susan Chandler

Susan Chandler is an award-winning journalist who has covered business and the economy for the Chicago Tribune, BusinessWeek magazine and the Chicago Sun-Times. Since 2009, she has combined writing with teaching at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
