Growing Aeroponics by Going Smaller

Aeroponics—the practice of growing plants without soil and with minimal water—is already in play in concepts such as MIT’s CityFARM. But in terms of scaling the practice up to feed more people, CityFARM founder Caleb Harper suggests going smaller. According to a story on Gizmodo, Harper’s latest project involves individual grow boxes people can use to literally design plants to their own tastes, then share those plans around the community through an interconnected food computer.
